Hello everyone, I have just checked Pebble who has been in hibernation since the end of November and one eye is slightly weepy. When I picked him up to have a look he opened that eye but the other stayed closed. What do you think.... Shall I wake him up properly or is this harmless. He is in a box in a cold place with temps of 5 degrees x x

I think you have to go with your gut instincts, as its hard for anyone to say differently, when they are not there to see what is going on.
If the tortoise was mine, I probably would get him/her up.

I have got him up Sandy... I placed him back in his box and left him for an hour but he was moving about and began climbing the side of his box. So I have bathed him and put his lamp on. He has eaten so guess he is up now!!! It is the first year he has been hibernated and he has been resting for eight weeks x x x hugs x x
