Hello
Do any of you who hibernate your tort outside in there home dig there tort up for having a weight check or leave them well alone.

I leave well alone, tbh I think it would disturb them too much if I did that :shock: Mine were fit and healthy when they went down, and god willing they will be fit and healthy when they wake in the spring.

Aside from that I can't get to them at the mo!!! :o :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi Jayne. I leave Tilly alone, because she has dug herself in. I can see her still, but she has soil packed nicely around herself, so I don't want to disturb her. But Tom and Tiny wouldn't dig in at all, so they are in an insulated box, so I can check and weigh them more easily. But if they had of dug in like Tilly I would have left them.

Mine are in the fridge and I haven't weighed them. I didnt last year either as I'd end up getting soil everywhere. Mine too are fit and healthy , but I always go by my gut instinct, if im in doubt I would check. :) but I'm happy at the moment :)
