i love to lean on the fence in the meds garden and look down into the leopards enclosure.its lovely to watch them going about their business when the sun is shining.if i go down to where they are they tend to come over and look at me.they are so inquisitive.i have noticed leopards appear to see more like we do not like a med tortoise.they are very aware of what is going on all around them.

thanks for looking,Mzuri or the big girl as we refer to her is 18" straight carapace length.last time i weighed her she was about 18kg.i got her as a rescue in 2002 when she was 14" and underweight.she is not the friendliest tortoise in the world but does accept me in the enclosure now ,without retracting.difficult to judge her age but she has grown 4" in the last 9 years so still fairly young.i have another female i got at the same time who was only 10" and she is over 16" now.my smallest female i had from a captive bred hatchling in 1996 she is just over 14" but hasnt grown much the last few years.
