Why is my Russian turning pink!!!

The shell is going pink and i cant figure out why? Any ideas?
Also the chin area has gone white? Its very odd, it has been a slow build up but today its come on strong.

Happy Samhain!
xx

Really sorry, but I haven't a clue, why this has happened.

Could you put pictures on so that someone can take a look and maybe figure out the reason for these changes.

ok so here are some photos of Beau. I know she is bumpy but you should have seen her when we bought her. He was muddy and her face was damaged and a very dull shell. It been hard work but she looks 100% better!

You cant really see the pink but you can see her shell. But she is very very pink in day light and it has happened quickly over about 2 weeks the whole of the shell (the pink wont show up in photos i have tried)

Hiya, hard to say as can't see the pink, the only thing that would worry me is septicaemia? But like I say, I can't personally see anything. The best thing is for you to probably goggle septicaemia in tortoises and compare it to yours, if there is any doubt please get her vet checked as if it is this it can be fatal if left untreated. I'M NOT SAYING IT'S THIS THOUGH!!!!!

a pinkish tinge between the plates can be just new growth,if as you say it is all over try pressing an area of pink to see if it goes then reappears when you release the pressure.i dont really have any experience of Horsfieldi so cant say if this is a trait of theirs.if the pinkish flush goes under pressure then reappears i would be very concerned,as Dawn has said septicemia is not unheard of in this species particularly recent imports.personally i think if you have real concerns then a trip to a specialist vet is called for.if you can post clear in focus pictures showing what you have described then i might have more idea.

Septicemia was something i immediatley thought of as we have just lost my daughters Horsfield to this condition .He got it in hibernation last year but to be honest it was pinker than this one .I really think a trip to the vets would be in order befor it goes too far

she is acting normal though. Eating and drinking fine. She gets up and about when she is warm her behaviour hasn't seemed to change. Im keeping a close eye on her and i have free time at the end of the week to take her to the vet.

Update: I have called the vet and after he is back from his home visit he is going to call me to talk about Beau and maybe see her tomorrow
