So Danny (my lovely Spanish tortoise vet ;)) Had a look at Beau this morning. He says she isn't showing any-other signs of septicaemia other than being pink. Her air ways were clear and she had no mucus build up. Her eyes were lovely and clear and he had a good listen to her heart (hard task) and that all seemed fine.

He gave no treatment today

I'm to take her day in 7 days unless there is any change in her behaviour. He said that to give the treatment for septicaemia at this stage with no other symptoms would really damage her liver and then we would have even more problems. So for now i have to keep a very close eye on her, keep her a little more warm at night and bath every day (i do this anyway)

So for now its a wait and see. But he is very on the ball and i have a lot of faith in him to make her well :D

excellent news, keeping everything crossed for you, and well done to the (hunky!) vet for not charging you extortionant amounts for treatment that Beau doesn't need - a rarity indeed!

Please keep us posted still xxxx
