Hi as some of you may know, We have made the devastating decision, That we cant afford to keep the Leopards anymore..
Im writing this in tears.. But there is nothing else we can come up with..
Last winter my husband had a good job, he was 'let go' early this year, he has now been classed as unfit to work, they wont classify him as disbaled, But have signed him off work permamently.. so we are struggling on benefits...
Im spending £40 a week on electric... and cannot contine to do so...
I need to put my kids and family first..
9 of my Leopards are TT rehomers, and i have notified the TT of this... they are now trying to rehome them, sadly no one has offered..
I have 5 leopards myself, and i do want to sell them.. but just saying the words is too hard... And plus i dont know what to ask for... i just want a perfect home for them....

Oh Kelly how sad. Life can deal some really cruel blows. Your decision was a very difficult one to make. But as already said, Family just has to come first. Thinking of you, at this terrible time.

Kelly I'm so sorry to hear your really sad news. I'm sorry there is nothing I can do to help you, I unfortunaly have no room for a different breed. I hope your Leo's find a home thats as loving and caring as yours.

I also deeply feel for you, your husband and family. It is not a nice situation to find yourself in, I hope that you all too find a light at the end of the tunnel. They say what goes around comes around, I beleive you will get the break that you all deserve.

Kelly, you already know how sorry I am that it has come to this, unfortunately we all know that placing those adult Leos is going to be a big stretch for the TT, they just don't have the resources to act in a crisis like this, even if you did sell your own you would be left paying a massive electric bill for tortoises that belong to the TT.

I am so sorry to hear your news Kelly it must be so devastating for you.

I hope you find good homes for them.

hi Kelly,im sorry to hear your husband isnt well.i hope things improve for you both.the TT rehomers must go back of course and there is no question you have to put your family first.if you are sure you have to offer your own leopards for sale you are very welcome to list them in our classified section.then at least you have a chance of getting them a home with an experience tortoise keeper.i know you must be devastated and will miss them terribly.

hi i have a suggestion and although you may think it quirky thatis just me.how about; would anyone one be willing to foster your torts till your are ever able to take them back. or not. as weird as it sounds you could still own them but give others the joy of owning them and passing on your knowledge .and if anything you still have your hand in there care

my sister does this with 2 hermans i have .. she is never goingto take them home toscotland but tells everyoneshe has torts. if i can help i will. i live in kent
