Being that kinda type Ive been compiling a database of edible plants and the nutritional values - the ultimate aim being to get all the info about feeding my tort in one spot.

As there are so many sources of info and they range widely in some of the figures Ive been sourcing at least 3 different values and taking an average before entering them in my database - so any sources of info that people know about would be gratefully received!

I doubt I would ever feel confident enough to share too much of what Ive found as much of it has only served to confuse me further! also as Im no expert on the subject (getting kicked off my botany degree during the second yr, 14 yrs ago proves this!) I would be very concerned that my chunnerings could lead to the harm of someones beloved pet.

Ive started out by looking into foodstuffs that are easily available over the winter as a starting point, not having done a winter with Ammy and him not hibernating I aim to be fully prepared!

i understand how you feel.i am cautious telling people what i feed my leopards as it really depends on the time of year and whats available rather than any great plan or recipe on my part.i will say depending on what is available i add greater or lesser quantities of certain items like chopped grasses and various plantains to balance it out.
