Well today I totally emptied Borris & Betty's tank, god rid of the very smelly sand, and did a total water change as well as scrubbed all ornaments and added some new stuff!

Instead of sand they now have two slate slabs surrounded by pebbles, I have also built a 'pebble corner' and also added another pebble structure, they have been swimming round, and for the first time I have actually seen Borris out & about - normally he hides all day and only comes out at night! In fact he actually features in ALL the photo's (for once!!!).

I also, when they were in their temporary box, fed them both a couple of prawns that were greedily accepted! :D Yesterday I bought some prawns & muscle meat from the supermarket. I have made 'prawn ice cubes' and have individually froze the muscle meat. These will be given as a treat every couple of days. Unless anyone thinks thats too often?? :?

Heres a photo or two of their new look Des Res..... I just need to add some artificial plants....

The tank look very nice indeed, you have done really well Dawn.
A few plants would be ideal, some duckweek would provide a bit of cover and may help them feel more secure.

Awwww  thanks everyone

I'm so gutted though, got my delivery today and they have sent me the wrong friggin tubes!!! They didn't have the diameter on the web page so I assumed they would be standard and well, I've got thicker pencils!!!! They are a tiny 16mm diameter!!! So fustrating! I ordered them tuesday for next day delivery, when they didn't arrive I emailed the company and they told me that one item was out of stock - they are ment to notify you if theres a delay to your order - so then they sent it out yesterday for todays delivery, and now they've sent the wrong bloody size!!! Grrrr! I'm gonna have to go into my local petshop (which I detest!) and pay £24 each (where I got them online they were £17!!!) cos the poor little things really need UV as it looks like they've never had any :( Still I suppose I can get some plants in there as well, just don't like giving them my money
