No "Muddy Eggs" is not the name of a blues singer, my first ever clutch of 3 striped mud turtle eggs were laid today. Look at the size of these beauties. :lol:

congratulations Dave,i would have thought humidity was crucial with these.they are so small i should imagine dehydration can be a danger in artificial incubation.

Thanks all. Just checked the eggs and they're all banding (they get a white band round the inside rather than the chalk spot found in tortoise eggs) so possibly looking fertile.

Terry,

From what I've read K.Bauri eggs are quite resistant to low humidity, they're hard shelled rather than leathery but I'm going with 95+% humidity in the incubator. Long incubation 80-120 days.
