I got this from a care sheet for leopards is it correct??

Suggested foods: Sliced cucumber, thinly sliced carrot, sliced butternut/pumpkin, sliced tomato, lettuce/cabbage (VERY small quantities), red and green sweet peppers, sliced courgettes (zucchini). This food should be offered in the early morning, and any uneaten food removed by lunchtime. A good vitamin/mineral supplement should be added to the food once a week. The odd bone and whole cuttlefish left lying in the enclosure will be chewed on, this helps keep their beak trim and provides some extra calcium. Avoid feeding fruit to leopard tortoises as this raises lactic acid levels in the gut and can increase the chance of internal parasites, colic and loose droppings.

hi Michelle sorry for the delay in answering you,i would say good advice from where they mention cuttlefish bone.with cuttlefish i trim the edge with a pair of scissors for smaller tortoises to protect them from these sharp pieces getting stuck in their beaks.all the food mentioned is soft low fibre and although edible will do nothing to improve their health in the long term.i have used grated carrot or chopped cucumber to encourage reluctant leopards in the past but dont advise its regular use particularly with hatchlings and smaller animals as it can encourage soft stools and the risk of dehydration with this condition.coarse weeds and chopped grasses are the best items to offer on a regular basis and when weeds are scarse during the winter normally grass isnt, so if they are to young for grazeing at this time the hatchling diet gradually increasing the percentage of grass over time.
