I have been advisee to use the powersun light for when i get a tortoise table. I am unsure which one to buy, the 100w one or the 160w one, can anyone help me with that please?

http://www.surreypetsupplies.co.uk/zoo- ... -100w.html

If anyone else uses this bulb can you advise me on what lamp to use and if i need a lamp stand.

I have found the following lamp in the link, is that ok to use with the powersun bulb?

http://www.surreypetsupplies.co.uk/exo- ... small.html

Also if that is ok is the lamp stand in the following link ok to use with it?

Hiya,

If you are going to just use the bulb indoors then the 100w would be sufficient. As for bulb holder I would go for this one:
http://www.surreypetsupplies.co.uk/zoo- ... -lamp.html
This holder is better than the wire one as the heat is directed directly below the lamp whereas with the wire one its not it's suitable for bulbs up to 200w so would be ok to use for either those bulbs, the lamp stand in your link is fine for it too.

Hope this helps ;)

Hi Beccah,

It's entirely your choice but the company you've linked to also sell the Arcadia D3 lamp in a 100 watt version. Personally, I feel this is a better lamp than the powersun based on some test results I've read recently.

Thanks Dawn and Dave:). So the Arcadia D3 bulb is better then? I just want to know what the best bulb is really, i've been told powersun are good, i'd never heard of the Arcadia ones before. How come the Arcadia ones are better?
