Could anybody shed any light on this for me please??? It is growning in a spot where I know mallow was growing last year, but I can only recognise mallow when it flowers.

I too would say no to mallow. I definitely recognise that plant, but can't put a name to it at the moment. :? Do the leaves have a strong odour if you crush them?

Thanks for replies. I am not sure about the smell.

I will give them a squeeze the next time I pass them. Hopefully they will flower soon and we will have more of an idea.

Well I picked a leaf off this weed today, and it has a slight garlic smell too it. I am still none the wiser, but maybe one of you can shed some light on it.

I have found this link that says garlic mustard. What do you think and is it edible? Although with the smell of garlic I am not sure they will be interested anyway.

:D That was the reason I asked about the smell as it reminded me of the wild garlic that grows near me. ( I cant be certain that is what it is, but it is looking that it may be, did you taste it?) You will know when it flowers for certain. ;)
