hi Tiggy, what i would do is make a small nest of kitchen paper in a seperate tub and spray it with water then put it back into the incubator with this egg sitting in it.this should be enough to support it if there is an overlarge yolksac remaining and also soften the shell a little if it has become dehydrated in there already.other than this i would leave it a couple of days ,i feel sure since it was strong enough to pip the shell there is every chance it will be ok.

Hi Tiggy

any news on the little one? I had two or three hatchlings that took hours and hours to hatch. I often thought they had died as they wouldn't move at all for ages, then they would have a little wriggle. Fingers crossed the little one is just lazy.

What a worry for you Tiggy.
My last hatchling started to pip about 3pm in the afternoon, That night before i went to bed she had made a little hole and that is how she stayed until the next evening where she suddenly went from a tiny hole to totally out within an hour! I did drop a bit of water on her nose as i saw it poking out that morning.

Let us know how she gets on and fingers crossed for you
Jeanette xxx
