Jeanette....so sorry to hear your sad news. I lost my mum last year after a ten year cancer battle. it is hard i know. but your torts are a distraction for you. Bubble laid an egg a couple of weeks ago after weeks of being very unsettled. two days before this event the incubator arrived. Phew comes to mind!! not checked yet if it is fertile but dare not check in case it isnt. would it be advisable to check do you think?

Thanks everyone..

Congragulations Stellanne.. it's so exciting isn't it.. I kind of check mine but to be honest I really haven't a clue what i am looking at so i just wish for the best.. according to my last 2 clutches my first 6 were due to hatch today, but no sign just yet.. I did candle them after about 3 weeks and think I saw some red veins but I could be mistaken.. I will definately post as soon as they do.
How are the plans for hibernation going?

Jeanette xx

There are plans for hibernation Jeanette, and they started this week though Michelle will be with us all winter, she still hasnt gained much weight but what she is doing is going in the right direction. Peta is slowing down, she will 'rest' a few weeks.....well until she is ready not to 'rest' i suppose. I have discussed with boy Pebble and i think he understands i am not being mean to him by separating him from Bubble. as for Bubble not sure what to do with her at the moment as she laid the one egg three weeks ago. i am watching her space!!! it will be an adventure for them both because as you know, at the age of 6 they have never been hibernated. x x x hugs xxxx
