Thanks Sandy and everyone for your kind messages

I think as they were her first eggs they will just have a few difficulties, like you said. As for mixing with a male... she hasn't been near him since that one time last september (14 months ago) he must just have super sperm! He is even younger than Cola so he was her toyboy!

Glad to have them home and I'm having to come home lunchtime to do her nose drops and bath the new hatchlings.. I just love it when people say "I'd love a tortoise they are so easy to look after" little do they know!!

Jeanette xx

Well I do know they can carry sperm for up to three years:0)

Thanks for asking..

Tango is fine, lively and eating well, although I do have to wake her up but once bathed she is ok. Pepsi however I am a little concerned about.. she is very lethargic and will rush back to bed as soon as possible.. She isn't eating but i done some warm pellets yesterday and sat and hand fed her a few, she seems to have problems judging where they are and cannot get to grips with keeping them in her mouth, she lets it fall out so i push it in for her..They have both been bathed daily in reptoboost then rinsed off in a clean bath and I have been applying her nose drops twice a day.

I am off to the vets on Monday so he will check her over and she will have another antibiotic and calcium injection.. bless her heart.

God knows what i would do if anything happens to her, they are my babies

Thanks for your concern

Jeanette xx

It is a worry Jeanette. Michelle does the same when she eats.... Sort of doesn't quite get where her food is and misses mouthfuls. Seems like such an effort to get food in her mouth. She nibbles little bits I think it is just her getting better x x x x hugs x x

Some tortoises will go off their food when on antibiotics Jeanette. Especially baytril. As long as you keep him/her hydrated he/she has a good chance of recovery.

Have you tried feeding her in a little terracotta bowl. This is how I feed Bournville. As he has a job to catch hold of his food on the slate and he has a habbit of backing off! This way he eats better. He can climb in and out of the bowl himself, just helps him eat! :)
here's some pictures
