....just to let you know I will be hibernating my hatchlings this year via fridge method for a 8 week hibernation.... they will be a few months old (they were born end of June) and will weigh in the region of 30 grams.

So come on you scaredy-cats who are using the excuse that your tort is too young or too light.... what are you waiting for.... its in the best interest of your tortoises!

(I'm sure I won't be the only one hibernating babies either! )

Errrrrm! Well if I'm honest I haven't got round to it yet - I have a good excuse though....cos the fridge I originally bought for the torts to hibernate in is now used as a drinks fridge as they haven't used it for 2 years and understandably it was full of drink all over Xmas!!! But I'm steadily getting through it so will sort them out shortly

Put the drink outside and get those babies tucked up in bed - it's way passed their bedtime.

yes boss! I shall start them on their wind down now so they can sleep through feb and wake up mid march ready to hopefully go outside not long after! I want to get them their own little section out in the big enclosure which I will sort march/april depending on weather.

I will let you now how it goes........
